As a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the entire maintenance division, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. You will provide leadership and direction to maintenance managers and teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage significant budgets and resources. This role demands a high level of strategic planning, leadership, and technical expertise.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced aviation maintenance leader who blends deep technical expertise with strategic, operational, and customer facing capabilities. Beyond ensuring aircraft airworthiness, this individual integrates maintenance activities with engineering, mission systems, operations, logistics, business strategy, and long term fleet sustainment. They operate effectively across multiple disciplines, balancing regulatory compliance, aircraft availability, customer priorities, and overarching program objectives—particularly in environments involving airline/charter (Part 135), ISR, and special mission aircraft.

** Responsibilities:**
* ** Provide strategic leadership and direction for the maintenance division, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.**
* ** Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive maintenance strategies and plans.
*** Ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across all maintenance activities.
* ** Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
*** Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, procedures, and performance.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
* Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to address technical and operational issues.
* ** Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance managers and team members.
*** Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel.
* ** Report on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management and executive leadership.
**** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
* ** 11+ years of aviation experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
*** Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 15 years of related experience is required.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* ** FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.**
* ** Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements [e.g., FAA, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)].
*** Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
