The Market Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, profitability, and strategic direction of the lawn care and chemical services across multiple branches.
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in business management, horticulture, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Master’sdegree or relevant certifications(e.g., in business management or industry-related areas) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the lawn care, landscaping, or chemical services industry, with at least 5 years in management.
- Proven experience in managing large teams, driving revenue growth, and overseeing complex operations across multiple locations in a geographical area (preferred).
- Experience with P&L management, budgeting, and strategic business planning.
- Obtaining andmaintainingapplicator license(s) by applicable state(s) is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and ensuring cost control.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and client relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and business management software.
- Excellent organizational,time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of operational best practices and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, CRM systems, and inventory management tools.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in the lawn care and chemical services industry.
- Supervise the management of daily field operations, ensuring all services are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of branch/operational managers to ensure they meet performance and quality goals.
- Oversee the management of scheduling, ensuringoptimalroute planning and resourceutilizationto maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Responsible for management ofbranch inventory (chemicals, tools, and equipment).
- Monitor service delivery to ensure that customer expectations are met, resolve service issues promptly, and ensure high levelsof customer satisfaction.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Report performance results to senior management and implement correctiveactionsas necessary.
- Develop and managemultiplebranchbudgets, focusing on cost control and maximizing profitability across a market.
- Ensure that the company adheres to all local, state, and federal regulationsregardingpesticide use, chemical application, and worker safety. Manage audits and inspections tomaintaincompliance.
