Area Managing Director

Opportunity Overview: The CFO Centre is seeking an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented Area Managing Director to expand and lead one of our U.S. markets.

As an independent contractor, you will build and grow your own area while partnering with The CFO Centre to develop a high-performing division of Regional Directors and Fractional CFOs. This role combines executive leadership, business development, recruiting, coaching, account management and strategic planning to drive sustainable growth throughout your assigned area.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing businesses, developing high-performing leaders and teams, and building trusted relationships with business owners and executive-level professionals.

Working collaboratively with the national leadership team, you will help expand The CFO Centre’s presence in the United States while supporting Regional Directors in developing successful regions and delivering exceptional experiences for clients, partners and CFOs..

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to a network of Regional Directors operating within your assigned area.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on business growth, client success, and professional development.
• Share best practices, market insights, and successful business development strategies across the area.
• Support Regional Directors in developing and executing market growth strategies.

Business Growth

• Develop and implement area growth strategies aligned with The CFO Centre’s U.S. expansion objectives.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth through business development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion.
• Support Regional Directors in identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
• Assist with expanding The CFO Centre’s visibility and reputation within the business community.

Recruiting and Talent Development

• Recruit experienced business professionals to serve as Regional Directors.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new Regional Directors and Fractional CFOs.
• Mentor Regional Directors as they build their regions and referral networks.
• Assist with capacity planning to ensure the division can support continued growth.

Client & CFO Experience

• Promote consistent delivery of exceptional client experiences throughout the area.
• Support the implementation of The CFO Centre’s service offerings
• Assist Regional Directors in resolving client or CFO concerns while maintaining strong long-term relationships.
• Encourage best practices that strengthen client retention and engagement.

Operational Excellence

• Promote consistent use of CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Encourage adoption of proven business processes and operating frameworks, including the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), where applicable.
• Monitor area performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in national leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.
• Contribute to special initiatives supporting The CFO Centre’s continued growth in the U.S.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Regional Directors to share best practices and encourage collaboration.
• Work closely with executive leadership on growth initiatives and market expansion.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with marketing, operations, talent acquisition, and client success teams.
