JOB DESCRIPTION   Summary/ Objective   East Side House (ESH) is a community resource in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. We believe education is the   key that enables all people to create economic and civic opportunities for themselves, their families, and their   community.  ESH’s Student Success Centers (SSC) aligns with our mission by providing high-quality programs and   services within community centers and school partnerships.

Reporting to the Department Director of Post-Secondary Pathways, the Program Director is responsible to lead and oversee the Student Success Center (SSC) program, ensuring high-quality college and career readiness services that help high school students successfully graduate and transition into post-secondary education, while managing staff, partnerships, operations, and program outcomes. The Program Director will lead the Student Success Center, supervise and develop staff, support students’ college and career readiness, manage school and community relationships, monitor data and produce reports, and coordinator events and special ac vi es.

As a member of the Post-Secondary Pathways team, the Program Director is expected to be a leader, relationship-builder, supervisor, strategist, and advocate for student success. This position’s direct reports include College Counselor and Youth Leaders (YLs) and interacts with Post-Secondary Pathways program. With a focus on helping students prepare for access, and transition into college or other post-secondary opportunities while ensuring the Student Success center operates effectively, the Program Director provides college access and readiness services, student success and graduation support, youth leadership development, case management and student monitoring, family and school engagement, and program activities and events.
** Essential Functions and Responsibilities
** Under the supervision of the Department Director of Post-Secondary Pathways, the Program Director, will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- * The day-to-day management including building and maintaining relationships with administration, faculty, staff, students and families.
* Directly provide quality supervision of East Side House support staff through monthly group meetings as well as individual meetings to discuss performance, goals, outcomes, strengths and challenges.
* Develop quantitative and qualitative reports on the Student Success Center that includes attendance, supports provided by staff and Youth Leaders, as well as event documentation.
* Maintain and organize all required records according to organizational and contractual requirements and applicable regulations.
* Work closely with key constituents including DOE staff and CARA to support staff and students in supplemental programs and service.
* Communicate effectively with students, direct reporting staff, peers, supervisors, and funders.
* Participate in department-wide collaborations including staff training, advocacy and seeks to foster cross site collaboration with other programs.
* Lead and participate in administrative and staff meetings on a regular basis or as requested.
* Guide students towards removing barriers toward graduation, engage students in college preparatory activities, provide supportive services, and increase self-direction and self-sufficiency.
