We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Corporate Actions. This role is located in New York, NY (4 days in office require).

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for managing and overseeing corporate action-related processes, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of various events.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to address complex issues and provide expert guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation and market practices, while also researching and resolving inquiries.
  • Lead and manage a team of corporate actions specialists, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient workflow.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of corporate action events, including dividend payments, reorganizations, and bond redemptions.
  • Conduct thorough cash reconciliations and review security transactions, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Serve as a Corporate Actions expert, providing guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members.
  • Meet with organizational units and stakeholders to ensure proper handling of corporate action events and maintain open communication.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from internal and external parties, offering timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of corporate action-related documentation and market practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market practices to enhance corporate action processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business groups, depositories, and clients to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Corporate Actions department by achieving team objectives and driving continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, such as an MBA or a relevant professional certification.
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in corporate actions or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate action procedures, events, and market practices, with a proven track record of successful execution.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in using corporate action processing systems and tools, with a willingness to stay updated on industry technology.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • A deep understanding of the global financial system and its impact on corporate actions, with a focus on risk management.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business, ensuring compliance with regulations.
