Global head of sustainability data advisory

You Will

• Lead and scale the team: Coach, develop, and grow a high-performing team of managers while ensuring strong execution at the frontline level.
• Drive business impact: Ensure the team delivers high-quality advisory services to Watershed customers, combining technical expertise with clear business value in every engagement.
• Improve operational excellence: Design, implement, and refine team operations to improve quality, efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Shape organizational planning: Help define future team structures by evaluating needs such as role specialization, geographic coverage, and delivery models.
• Own services strategy: Lead the strategy for the Sustainability Data Advisory team and partner with senior leaders to shape the broader Services business strategy at Watershed.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success, Support, Product, and Methodology leaders to align priorities, execution, and customer outcomes.
• Champion Watershed’s principles: Lead by example and promote a high-performance, customer-focused, and mission-driven team culture.

• Professional experience: You have 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 7 years leading professional services teams in consulting or B2B SaaS environments.
• Carbon and sustainability expertise: You bring strong hands-on knowledge of carbon accounting and broader sustainability topics.
• People leadership: You have managed both individual contributors and managers, and you enjoy coaching, hiring, and developing high-performing teams.
• Customer obsession: You know how to set a high standard for customer delivery and help teams consistently meet or exceed that standard.
• Operational strength: You are a strong operator who uses data-driven decisions, structured problem-solving, and repeatable systems to improve performance in high-growth environments.
• AI-enabled efficiency: You have experience using AI to improve operational efficiency and create stronger customer impact.
• Communication skills: You are an excellent written and verbal communicator who can clearly communicate a vision, build team confidence, and influence cross-functional peers.
