Position Overview

The Vice President & Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities across the organization. This executive ensures the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial operations while serving as a strategic partner in tax planning, corporate structuring, and M&A integration. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President & Controller provides hands-on leadership to the accounting team, driving excellence in financial management, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on long-term financial strategy, tax optimization, and acquisition initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor and provide financial insights to support decision-making related to capital deployment, entity structuring, acquisitions, post-acquisition integration, and growth investments.
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, and consolidations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure accuracy and integrity of channel profitability through oversight of cost allocations.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Finance team to ensure accuracy and integrity of manufacturing cost allocations, product costing, and inventory valuation.
  • Perform strategic financial risk assessment on account balances and recommend actions mitigate risk.
  • Oversee and maintain system of strong internal controls and policies to support scalability and financial integrity.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring clean and timely audit outcomes.
  • Lead the company’s tax compliance and planning functions, including federal, state, and local filings, sales and use tax, and international tax matters. Oversee the preparation and review of all tax returns and provision calculations.
  • Partner with external advisors to optimize the company’s tax structure and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Drive proactive tax planning initiatives to support corporate growth, M&A transactions, and entity rationalization.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team on due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions. Evaluate target company financials, assess accounting and tax implications, and lead post-acquisition accounting setup to ensure seamless integration into corporate systems and controls.
  • Drive automation, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting and tax workflows.
  • Establish scalable processes to support rapid growth and operational complexity
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and tax team focused on technical excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
