The Sorority & Fraternity Life ( SFL ) Coordinator plays a key role in fostering, supporting, leading, and advancing the sorority and fraternity community s role is responsible for advising students, student organizations, councils, and sorority/fraternity chapters, serving as a university liaison. The Coordinator develops and implements programming initiatives, ensuring positive impacts on the student experience and alignment with Marquette’s mission and Jesuit values.

Advising & Support
:
Advises all councils represented at Marquette University, including but not limited to Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Association, and Multicultural Greek Council. Provides chapter coaching to their affiliated chapters. Coordinates and supports membership intake efforts of the Sorority & Fraternity community. Supports the development and execution of departmental workshops, retreats, and leadership programs for chapter and council leadership as well as general membership.

Stays informed on current legislation, university policies, and national best practices that impact sorority and fraternity operations.
Programming & Engagement
:
Collaborates with staff of the Office of Student Engagement to develop and implement student learning initiatives and programming to promote well-being, belonging, and leadership in the sorority and fraternity community. Programming efforts target leadership development, scholarship, service, membership development, risk management/reduction, bystander intervention, hazing prevention, and crisis management. These efforts are in coordination with university departments and internal/external experts. Review and approve new member education programs to ensure alignment with organizational values, risk management expectations, and educational best practices.

Responsible for related financial/budgetary components of event planning.
Technology & Operations
:
