Sky Vest is building out a best-in-class asset management platform to manage and maximize the value of our asset portfolio. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Health and Safety Manager. This role will design, implement, and lead Sky Vest’s health and safety programs across the assets, to build a safety culture within the organization.

This role will create safety policies and procedures and training curriculum, ensuring the organization is within all safety compliance requirements. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer in the Operations department.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and continuously improve the health and safety policies and procedures to meet OSHA, state, and industry standards across the wind and solar assets
• Create and deliver safety training programs tailored to specific employee groups (office-based employees vs. field personnel)
• Champion behavior-based safety programs and drive a safety priority culture
• Advise leadership team of any safety risks as the organization continues to scale and grow
• Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and any other applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
• Manage and oversee required safety certifications, permits, and documentation
• Conduct and coordinate regular site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at the operating assets; track corrective actions and provide a follow-up plan
• Manage root-cause investigations for incidents, near-misses, and injuries; develop and track corrective and preventive actions
• Own safety metrics and reporting standards and report trends to the leadership team

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Power Generation or Renewables industry
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or safety field
• OSHA 30 certification
• Strong knowledge of working with operating assets on a power plant site
• Ability to effectively communicate, interface, and influence with both field personnel and corporate leadership team
• Experience implementing a safety program and culture across the organization and with 3 rd party OEM providers
