Director of Operations

Vidiots Foundation is looking for a Director of Operations to join our team!

Reporting to and working side-by-side the Executive Director and in close collaboration with all department heads, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading the seamless, efficient, and compliant daily operations of all guest-facing and venue operations at Vidiots Foundation. This includes oversight of Front of House and Box Office teams, including guest services, food and beverage, ticketing, security, and general facility operations and maintenance.

The Director of Operations plays a critical role in the day-to-day management of staff, enhancing guest experience, driving on-site revenue, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring the highest of operational standards across the entire venue.

This role includes key responsibilities in people operations including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and supervising a high-performing staff. The Director of Operations works collaboratively with the Executive Director, department heads, and the accounting team to meet strategic and budgetary goals.

• Oversee all on-site operations, including day-to-day collaboration with Senior Front of House Managers and Box Office Manager to ensure floor management and high-level venue maintenance deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for guests and staff in alignment with Vidiots' mission and brand
• Supervise departments including front of house, box office, custodial, and security; collaborate with department heads to support their supervision of hourly and floor staff
• Drive revenue growth across ticketing, concessions, retail, memberships, and special events through strategic operations, staffing optimization, product management, and guest engagement initiatives
• Support and implement safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management practices in partnership with leadership and external consultants
• Collaborate with Executive Director and accounting to monitor and manage operational budgets, labor costs, staffing models, scheduling, and departmental spending to ensure financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and achievement of revenue goals
• Oversee food and beverage programs, including guiding Senior Managers on inventory, ordering, cost control, and vendor relations for concessions and bar operations
• Ensure full compliance with all city, county, state, and federal regulations, including alcohol service, health code, labor laws, safety, and accessibility
• Maintain current licenses, permits, and certificates for food, alcohol, and public assembly
• Work closely with department heads and Senior Managers to recruit, onboard, train, and retain hourly staff across multiple departments
• Lead and develop managers and staff through coaching, performance management, accountability practices, and professional development opportunities
• Work closely with Senior Managers to develop, implement, and enforce SOPs, operational procedures, training programs, and service standards to ensure consistency, accountability, and operational excellence
• Lead guest service resolution/conflict protocols and oversight to uphold Vidiots' standards
