Salary: $80,000 - 90,000 per year
Location: 1000 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11221
Schedule: Monday-Friday, on-site, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
The Clinical Department Manager is a non-clinical leadership position responsible for overseeing the administrative operations, workflow management, staff accountability, and regulatory support functions of the nursing department. This role ensures efficient coordination of clinical department processes, timely completion of documentation and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Department Manager does not perform clinical assessments, nursing supervision, patient care, or clinical determinations.

- Primary Focus: Oversight of Clinical Department operations, workflow coordination, staff management, regulatory compliance monitoring, quality assurance activities, and administrative support functions to ensure efficient service delivery.
Staff Supervision and Department Management:
- Supervise and manage administrative and operational functions of the clinical department.
- Monitor staff productivity, workload distribution, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, corrective action discussions, and employee development activities.
- Ensure accountability for department expectations, deadlines, and agency policies.
- Foster a professional, collaborative work environment while addressing operational concerns and staff conflicts.
- Coordinate communication among field nurses, clinical supervisors, intake personnel, human resources, payroll, and agency leadership.
- Oversee Clinical Department workflows to ensure timely completion of assessments, supervisory visits, care plan updates, and physician order processing by licensed clinical staff.
- Monitor assignment and scheduling of nursing visits to support continuity of patient care.
- Track completion of required documentation, per regulatory deadlines.
- Escalate clinical concerns, patient issues, and compliance risks to appropriate licensed clinical personnel.
- Support implementation of agency policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee, patient, and operational records in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
- Prepare End-of-Week (EOW), monthly, quarterly and ad hoc operational reports for agency leadership.
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of nursing department staff regarding agency workflows and operational procedures.
- Monitor compliance with New York State LHCSA regulations, agency policies, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct routine audits of reports and workflow processes to identify deficiencies and trends.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to documentation timeliness, supervisory visit completion, assessment scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
