Facilities​/Engineering Operations Manager

Sodexo is seeking an Operations Manager supports the day-to-day operations of Facilities Management at University Hospitals TriPoint Medical Center.

Serving as the second-in-command this role provides hands‑on operational leadership, coordinates daily activities, and ensures consistent delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality facility services within a complex healthcare environment.

In this operational leadership role, you’ll oversee and optimize facilities and engineering services to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance across all systems and teams. You’ll manage everything from mechanical systems and maintenance workflows to budgeting, safety programs, and client relationships, all while developing staff and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. • Take ownership of complex building systems and maintenance programs that keep operations running smoothly.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team with a strong focus on safety, training, and development.
• Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver reliable, responsive, and technical solutions.
• Gain experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and service contracts in a dynamic environment.
• Use data and CMMS tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols.

• Proven experience managing facilities, mechanical systems, or engineering operations in a complex environment.
• Technical skills combined with financial acumen to support budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage frontline teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CMMS/work order systems and experience driving operational improvements through data and reporting.
• A proactive, safety‑first mindset with the skillset to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring compliance and service excellence.
