Transitional Program Manager

SUPERVISOR: Senior Manager of Adult Services

OBJECTIVE: Manage, direct and coordinate overall operations of the Employment Transitional Program under the Employment Services department. Ensure program operations support individuals in developing job readiness, workplace skills, community participation, and pathways toward competitive or supported employment opportunities. Ensure services are person-centered, outcome-focused, and in compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and all regulatory standards. Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing within the assigned budget.

Supervise, train, and support assigned staff while promoting community partnerships, employer engagement, and transitional employment opportunities that enhance independence, skill development, and meaningful participation for people served.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of experience providing employment support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities would be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of five years of experience in employment services, transitional programming or related field.
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Ability to manage a budget, experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license, have an acceptable driving history and be able to utilize your own vehicle for Lumibility business as defined by Lumibility’s policy.

HOURS OF DUTY: Exempt, M-F 7am-3pm

PAY RATE: $58,500/annually

STAFF ASSIGNED: Program Coordinators, Transitional Job Coaches, and other staff as assigned.

• Direct and coordinate the overall operations of the Employment Transitional Program to ensure compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Provide overall supervision of assigned staff by ensuring effective onboarding, training, scheduling, delegation of tasks and performance evaluation.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and quality of transitional employment services that are person-centered, skill-building, and outcome-focused. Ensure individuals receive support that promotes job readiness, workplace behavior, independence, and progress toward employment goals.
• Assist in the development of assigned budget(s) and monitor expenses to assure budget compliance and fiscal accountability.
• Handle employee relation issues as needed, including meeting with and coaching employees, interviewing and monitoring employee performance.
• Actively participate in activities that promote the agency mission, strategic plan, employment pathways, community inclusion, and meaningful transitional work experiences.
• Ensure timely completion of all required and requested reports and requests for information.
• Review and approve employee timecards as assigned on a weekly basis.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, funders, employers, community partners, and other stakeholders to support transitional employment opportunities and successful outcomes.
• Promote an atmosphere of safe working conditions and practices to ensure the health, safety and well-being of staff and people served.
• Identify, implement, and evaluate program supports, accommodations, job readiness activities, and transitional work experiences for effectiveness.
• Willing and able to assist with an individual’s support needs in a respectful and professional manner when necessary.
• Attend and at times run monthly management meetings and other meetings as required.
• Meet monthly with crews, individuals, staff, employers, and community partners for wellness check-ins, program monitoring, and support coordination throughout various towns.
