Regional Manager

The Regional Manager is responsible for the overall performance of a group of MOZZ's brick & mortar restaurant locations across the Wasatch Front area, providing hands-on leadership, direction, and oversight to Store Managers and department leaders. This role ensures that every physical location consistently delivers the quality, craftsmanship, and guest experience that define MOZZ's handmade pizza, while driving operational excellence, staff development, and financial performance across the region.

The Regional Manager serves as the critical link between store-level teams and company leadership, supporting the continued growth of MOZZ's brick-and-mortar footprint as a local chain.

• Provide leadership, direction, and day-to-day oversight to Store Managers and department leaders across all assigned MOZZ brick-and-mortar store locations.
• Ensure consistent execution of MOZZ's recipes, handmade pizza preparation standards, and food quality across every location in the region.
• Conduct regular store visits and operational audits to evaluate food quality, cleanliness, food safety compliance, and customer service standards.
• Partner with Store Managers to recruit, train, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly team members, building a strong bench of future leaders.
• Monitor key performance metrics across the region, including sales, labor cost, food cost, and waste, and develop action plans to address gaps.
• Ensure all locations comply with health department regulations, food safety requirements, labor laws, and MOZZ policies and procedures.
• Support new store openings within the region, including staffing, training, and operational setup, in partnership with corporate teams.
• Collaborate with corporate operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to support consistent execution of company initiatives and continued growth.
• Own the regional budget and P&L, managing labor, food, and controllable expenses to meet financial targets.
• Interview, hire, and evaluate Store Managers, and lead performance management, coaching, and disciplinary conversations as needed.
• Resolve escalated guest complaints and personnel issues, ensuring timely and consistent follow-through across locations.
• Champion consistent brand standards and guest experience across the region, reinforcing MOZZ's reputation for quality, handmade pizza.

• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of multi-unit restaurant or retail management experience; quick-service, fast-casual, or pizza restaurant experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop store-level management teams across multiple locations.
• Strong working knowledge of P&L management, labor scheduling, and food/inventory cost control.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across locations.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between MOZZ locations throughout the Wasatch Front area.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, scheduling and labor management software, and Microsoft Office.
• Current food safety certification (e.g., Serv Safe) required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance for regular travel between store locations.

• Regularly travels between multiple MOZZ store locations throughout the Wasatch Front area, in all weather conditions.
