** Responsibilities:
*** The General Manager is responsible for the entire operation and management of the Club, ensuring positive member experience, teamwork, and operational excellence.
* The General Manager always ensures excellence in Member Services by creating a welcoming environment.
* Interview, hire, and train new staff.
* Ensures proper staffing and coverage in the club based on business needs.
* Conducts all evaluations and performance reviews for all staff in the club.
* Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly club.
* Ensures club profitability and financial success.
* Ensures the safety and protection of the employees and members in the club and the entire club property.
* Handle timecard administration and properly follow all Planet Fitness policies and guidelines as they pertain to employee pay.
* Train staff on and execute local and national promotions.## Qualifications

* Requirements and Skills:

*** Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing customer-focused teams in the fitness, hospitality, restaurant or similar industry
* A career path that reflects increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable results
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills
* Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Continual standing and walking during your shift.
* Continual talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone during your shift.
* Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
