Bachelor’s Degree and two years related experience in a manufacturing environment or High School Diploma and 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write clear and concise reports and general business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from groups of management, associates, customers, suppliers, and public.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Windows XP Office and working knowledge of SAP Materials Management module.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; move around the plant; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job in the production area, the associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the production area is usually loud.
  • The noise level in the office area is usually moderate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review production schedule on a weekly basis. Evaluate material availability.
  • Develop production schedule on a weekly basis based on customer requirements, material availability, equipment, and work hour capacity. Distribute production plan to appropriate personnel. Review proposed schedule as well as completion of such materials group and production manager in production meetings.
  • Coordinate annual physical inventory with logistics and production managers, and sub-contract suppliers.
  • Maintain the following reports:
    Production schedules (weekly).
  • Release material against blanket purchase orders (domestic and foreign suppliers) to support production schedule as well as pass-thru business.

    Communicate schedule updates with suppliers on a weekly basis. Expedite as required to support requirements.
  • Review scheduling agreement open order report. Monitor timely delivery of materials from suppliers.
  • Closely monitor the daily material requirements supplied to subcontractors.

    Example: coated metals. Ensure that materials are available for all shifts, etc.

    Immediately report shortages to both the logistics manager and master scheduler.
  • Track supplier delivery performance as specified in the supplier requirements manual and corresponding procedures. Submit delivery performance results to master scheduler and/or purchasing manager monthly.
  • Review ECN’s daily for affectivity date of new revision materials. Supply QA manager with this date.
  • Review daily receipts log for accuracy and make changes/corrections as required.

    Assist receiving department with any problem receipts in SAP.
  • Assist logistics manager with cycle count system and reconciliation of results.

    Perform inventory adjustments as they occur.
  • Enter material transfers daily to subcontract suppliers. Work with these subcontractors to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in APQP process as assigned by logistics manager.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth, timely launch of programs.
