How You’ll Make An ImpactAs a Packer
, you will operate 14 packaging stations to package product for shipment. You will package Carbopol powder into lined boxes and maintain the cleanliness of the packaging work area.
- Demonstrate a safety-first mentality by adhering to all RC14001 and HSES procedures and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies, including reporting incidents to the Supervisor and HSES Department.
- Work from a standing position to fill boxes to meet established weights and productivity standards.
- Adjust box contents to prescribed weights.
- Keep the packaging area clean.
- Assemble and transport boxes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize performance.
- Sample product, take samples to lab, make and apply labels.
- Perform minor maintenance and lubrication of packaging equipment.
- Tare and calibrate scales.
- Determine correct vacuum on densifier.
- Adjust nitrogen purges on equipment.
- Request maintenance on faulty equipment and address packing problems that cannot be solved.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, reliability and be detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- 1+ year general manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Experience operating the following equipment is a plus:
Dry hopper, Fitzmill, Densifier, Vibrox, Conveyor system, scales, lubrication equipment, various hand tools, housekeeping equipment and safety equipment.
- Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.
- Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided.
- Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional lifting or movement of materials.
- Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards.
