Pay: $/hr. (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

The Production Line Quality Auditor / SQC Auditor is responsible for inspecting garments and materials at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. This role supports continuous improvement by identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues. Auditors are classified into Level 1, 2, or 3 based on experience and scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect garments and components for defects, measurements, and workmanship, including inline inspection, pre-final audit and final inspection in finishing department.
  • Verify compliance with specifications, style details, and finishing standards.
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings to supervisors.
  • Perform measurement and workmanship audits; verify material, trim, and construction are compliant with specifications.
  • Tag and segregate defective items for rework or review.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues, including preparation of improvement plans and suggestions.
  • Maintain organized records and audit logs.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to uphold standards.
  • Auditing of packed goods prior to offering shipment to the customer.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean inspection area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects.
  • Basic understanding of garment construction and finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and measurement charts.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
  • Comfortable using inspection tools and technology.
  • Demonstrates patience and consistency in repetitive inspection tasks.
  • Determined to uphold quality standards and support continuous improvement.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in garment inspection or quality control preferred.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a production environment with varying tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Positional:
    Frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting.
  • Gross Mobility:
    Bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Sensory:
    Visual acuity for detailed inspection; verbal communication with team members.
