Reports ToGrain Facilities Manager
Position SummaryThe Grain Facilities Assistant will work in conjunction with the Grain Facilities Manager to provide our customers with timely service and quality products. They will work in a team environment and promote a safe workplace. Their main responsibility will be to monitor the movement of grain throughout the facilities to meet the product specifications of our customers.
Responsibilities- Dump and load grain trucks
- Sample and grade grain samples in accordance with GIPSA standards
- Input correct customer information on tickets to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Perform routine maintenance on grain handling equipment
- Grain facility sanitation
- Provide outstanding service to our customers
- Understand and execute the movement of grain throughout the facility
- Operate grain dryers
- Able to climb grain bins
- Decide which bin to put grain in based on the analysis of the sample
- Mix and blend grain to meet customer specifications
- Knowledge of grain handling equipment is a plus
- Any experience in the grain industry would be beneficial but not required
