Production Manager
Overview
Production Supervisor:
All shifts available 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Supervises staff and operations of all departments within the Plant. Maintains production schedules, Plans and assigns work, performs pre-shift meetings, trains employees, and has authority for hiring, termination, discipline, and performance decisions. Responsible for maintaining product quality standards. Performs and oversees inspections and audits. Assists Support Departments in the Plant to troubleshoot production problems and take preventive or corrective action. Recommends changes to improve quality and reduce costs.
Makes sure all employees follow all Company rules and Regulations, SOP's, and Policies.
- 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
- 2nd shift 2p-10:30p
- 3rd shift 10p-6a
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Coordinateproductionstartups,shutdowns,and changeovers.
- Conductemployeeperformancereviews.
- Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations,employee breaks,overtime assignment,back-upforabsentemployees,andshift rotations.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Plant Manager forappropriatestaffinglevels
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings
- Responsibletomeetshiftproductiongoals.
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
- Operatewithinstandardoperatingprocedures(SOPs) andJob Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Communicatewithother Shift Supervisors and Plant Manager .
- Completeshiftpaperwork.
- Assistinproductionasnecessary.
- Familiarity with weld operations
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Union environment a plus
- MS Office products ( Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
