Materials Technician

Key Accountabilities

• Unload inbound freight and following department processes for inspection of materials.
• Scan materials into MRP system.
• Deliver production and non-production parts to the designated areas.
• Stage, scan, label and load outbound freight in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow department guidelines for 5S.
• Maintain FIFO of components and axles.
• Follow safety guidelines established for materials department.
• Meet requirements for department rotation by performing each position at standard within the department.
• Involvement and assistance in facility waste streams including upkeep and control of waste stream tracking, marshalling, isolation, labeling and coordinating shipments.
• Must work overtime as needed to support department to meet facility requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalency (GED) required
• Must be able to pull self up on to forklift, replace empty gas tanks, steer forklift in forward and reverse which requires twisting in a seated position
• Must be able to carry and stock varying weight - up to 75 pounds throughout shift to support production lines.
