Press Break​/Plasma Table Operator

Boone Steel is a 48-year-old metal supply company that performs value‑added services such as plasma cutting, break press, shear, saw cutting, and metal fabrication. We make a priority of customer service, safety, honesty, and family values. We are looking to add to our Metal Processing Department that handles the Press Break and Plasma Table.

• Operate CNC Accupres Press Brake and Shear to manufacture parts to required specifications,
• Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
• Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
• Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
• Measures and aligns materials to be used.
• Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proven experience as a CNC plasma table operator or similar role in a metal fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
• Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.

• Physically able to operate, load and unload machines.
• Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Preferably have at least 3 years experience in a machine shop environment at a minimum.
