Materials Technician

Key Accountabilities

• Unload inbound freight and follow department processes for inspection of materials.
• Scan materials into MRP system.
• Deliver production and non‑production parts to the designated areas.
• Stage, scan, label and load outbound freight in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow department guidelines for 5S.
• Maintain FIFO of components and axles.
• Follow safety guidelines established for the materials department.
• Meet requirements for department rotation by performing each position at the standard within the department.
• Assist in facility waste streams including upkeep and control of waste stream tracking, marshalling, isolation, labeling and coordinating shipments.
• Work overtime as needed to support the department and meet facility requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalency (GED) required.

Must be able to pull self up onto a forklift, replace empty gas tanks, and steer the forklift forward and reverse, which requires twisting in a seated position.

Must be able to carry and stock varying weights – up to 75 pounds – throughout the shift to support production lines.
