Job Details
Job Title: Order Selector
Department: V19 Warehouse (Grade
2)
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Working Conditions: Must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Direct Reports: N/A
Position SummaryPicks, packs, and ships orders in a safe, efficient, accurate manner. Responsible for receiving, counting, sorting and organizing daily shipments, and replenishing inventory locations.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions- Follows specific instructions regarding special projects that involve the repacking, labeling, sorting, and display assembly of product based on customer requirements.
- Verifies the accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents, and checks product for damage.
- Uses RF scanner to process outbound orders and inbound receipts.
- Uses computer and shipping software to process shipments.
- Reports shortages, damages, and mis‑shipments to supervisor.
- Completes daily task paperwork accurately and entirely.
- Provides backup support to Material Handling Operators as required.
- Operates non-powered material handling equipment and propane or electric material handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs cycle counts or verification of inventory quantities and locations.
- Assists the Warehouse team in daily tasks as needed or special projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Must be computer literate.
- Previous Microsoft Excel experience, preferred.
- Must acquire forklift certification upon hire; prefer 3-5 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities.
- Previous experience in an Automotive Distribution Environment, preferred.
- Previous experience with Continuous Improvement Plans and Lean Manufacturing techniques, preferred.
- Familiarity with SOX Compliance Requirements and OSHA Regulations, preferred.
- Familiarity with SDS/Hazmat Safety, preferred.
- Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely as required.
- Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer requirements.
