Plant Manager - Plastic Injection Molding
Engage our team and improve our processes. Seeking hands-on Plant Manager with a strong plastic injection molding background to engage, inspire and motivate our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the entire production floor including the maintenance, tooling, and quality teams. Your leadership and professional skills will make an impact on a growing company as it launches exciting projects in 2026.
Responsibilities
- The Plant Manager is responsible for meeting production scheduling deadlines and ensuring that all product quality requirements are met.
- Foster a positive work culture, promote employee development, and maintain high levels of team morale and motivation.
- Evaluate workflow methods for process improvements and streamline operations by recommending ways to improve flow of product via continuous improvement, tooling, and maintenance.
- Safety is a priority. Ensure an organized, clean, and safe manufacturing environment. Enforce safety regulations and work practices.
- Analyze production requirements and future growth to plan and allocate machine and labor resources effectively.
- Continuous improvement mindset, Lean, Kaizen, 6 Sigma, 5S.
- Successful, profitable, and well-established multi-national organization with five manufacturing locations in North America.
- Lead our 160,000 sq. ft. Kentucky plant operations with a diverse customer base that includes outdoor furniture, consumer, and industrial end markets.
- Value-based organization providing innovative design and development expertise, custom manufacturing and assembly solutions from concept to completion.
- The successful candidate will have 8+ years of manufacturing experience working in an injection molding environment (automotive experience preferred).
- A strong and broad understanding of plastic injection molding, including processing, tooling, automation, and facility systems.
- Proven leadership skills to develop a positive team approach that ensures quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- The ideal candidate can take on new challenges and is willing to learn; has a good work ethic; a sense of urgency; can make adjustments and drive change; and is a role model who leads by example.
- Quick and effective resolution of production and operational issues.
- Creative problem solver, effective team leader, and ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Professional oral and written communication and computer skills.
