Mobile Equipment Operator

• Operate haul trucks, water trucks, rock breakers, and fuel trucks to transport materials throughout the quarry.
• Operate mobile equipment including front‑end loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, dredges, and skid‑steer loaders as required.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets, and report any problems.
• Correct malfunctions or report hazards to the quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Maintain a safe working environment through required cleanup activities.
• Take accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
• Communicate with quality personnel to adjust material blends as needed.
• Report all safety, maintenance, and production needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote safety culture.

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; basic reading and writing skills required.

Work Experience:

Experience working in varying weather conditions; quarry experience preferred.

• Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Highly dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ready to learn plant flow, operations, and screening.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties.
• Previous experience in construction or quarry environment preferred.
• Job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work, with potential schedule adjustments on short notice.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and use Amrize‑approved PPE, including respirators; employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal contacts the face for fit testing.
