Leads team members to meet daily production targets while meeting people safety and food safety expectations. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves immediate issues. Partners with Maintenance to resolve issues where needed. Partners with Quality to address issues that are out of specification. Ensures materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Leads team members to identify, manage, and execute the plant’s process improvement opportunities.

Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented work force in order to improve business results.

Ensure headcount is at budgeted levels

Owns people safety, food safety, cost execution, meeting the production schedule, and morale of the team

Monitor production to ensure that food safety, quality, productivity, and cost standards are met.

Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively.

Enforce plant rules, regulations and procedures.

Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide coaching for work performance improvement.

Participate in the support of plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc.

Works with other Leads and gives and seeks support to meet targets

Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality.

Any other duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
