Overview

As an Advanced Processing Team Member you will maintain the production process safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Your day‑to‑day tasks include preparing ingredients, operating and maintaining processing equipment, monitoring product flow, and ensuring all batches meet strict quality and food‑safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and stage ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas.
  • Review and follow production schedules and work orders to ensure timely preparation.
  • Verify ingredient lot numbers, expiration dates, and quality prior to use.
  • Operate scales, mixers, grinders, and other preparation equipment safely.
  • Perform and oversee equipment operations and maintenance activities, including die changes, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive upkeep for manufacturing and processing systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous operation across all systems.
  • Perform routine operation checks and daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeovers.
  • Ensure proper sanitation after changeovers and complete all sanitation steps during changeovers.
  • Execute advanced troubleshooting, pre-inspection checks, and complex changeovers.
  • Monitor and optimize line performance, making real‑time adjustments to prevent defects.
  • Conduct product handling, quality control, and inventory management: accurate scaling, pre‑operational checks, monitoring ingredient levels, product inspection, labeling compliance, FIFO inventory methods, and waste disposal.
  • Maintain accurate record‑keeping in SAP for inventory transactions, shipments, quality results, and traceability documentation.
  • Participate in 5S efforts and serve as a 5S champion for the area.
  • Assist team members, adapt to operational changes, and support training and cross‑coverage.
  • Support food safety and sanitation compliance by following GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and company policies, maintaining allergen segregation and preventing cross‑contamination.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis, line huddles, and process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑first mindset.
  • Commitment to maintaining SQF and GMP standards.
  • Proficiency in SAP, hand scanners, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and basic math skills.
  • For higher levels: proficiency in MII and Weever systems and advanced troubleshooting of high‑speed processing equipment.
  • Safety and compliance knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, FSMA, and other food‑safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or food‑production experience.
  • Forklift certification required at the Advanced level or willingness to obtain it.
  • Age ≥18 years.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50lb, operate heavy equipment, and perform repetitive motions as described.
  • Near and far visual acuity, color perception, and full range of hand/arm movement.
Physical Demands

Employees must stand and walk for extended periods, perform frequent climbing, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping. They must lift up to 50lb, have good hand‑eye coordination, motor skills, and 20/20 corrected vision, and be able to distinguish colors for color‑coded containers. PPE will be required as per company policies.
