We are looking for a Plant Manager who will oversee all aspects of plant operations for a facility of 150+ employees. The role involves managing production, quality control, maintenance, personnel, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do- Oversee daily operations to meet production schedules.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and health and safety policies.
- Lead plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Promote a positive workplace culture emphasizing safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control and financial planning.
- Analyze operational details, financial metrics, and performance data for informed decision‑making.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high product quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to minimize downtime.
- Prepare and present reports on plant performance, production metrics, and operational issues to senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of plant management experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- In‑depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proven experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and budget‑management experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and systems.
