General Shale Brick, a leading brand of General Shale, Inc., is seeking a Utility Person to join our manufacturing facility in Stanton, Kentucky. This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to safety and teamwork.

The Utility Person is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe plant environment while supporting production and maintenance teams. This role includes performing housekeeping tasks, assisting with equipment upkeep, and supporting daily plant operations.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout all plant departments, removing scrap from belts, emptying bins, and cleaning dust collectors in the Making Department, assisting kiln car operators with repair and rebuild tasks as needed, supporting snow and ice removal at plant entrances and exits, actively assisting other crew members and working collaboratively with operators, reporting maintenance needs to Production Supervisor or Lead Hand, performing preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, including cleaning and washing, following all safety protocols and working efficiently according to company policies, and contributing to achieving the company goal of Zero Harm Today.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent required, prior brick manufacturing or industrial experience preferred, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment.
