Packaging Technician

Big Sandy Plant – Catlettsburg, KY

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Monday-Friday 9:00 – 5:00PM
The Packaging Technician performs the full range of assignments involved in functioning within a self-directed work team. The Packaging Technician is primarily responsible for the packaging and screening of activated carbon products.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- With the guidance of the Warehouse & Shipping Manager and with the assistance of the Team, the Packaging Technician is responsible for the packaging of finished product and by-products in accordance with established manufacturing procedures on all production lines and in all areas
- Paperwork associated with packing product
- Understanding and maintaining a dust-free environment by assuring all dust abatement equipment is in place and working correctly
- Responsible for working with Maintenance to minimize packaging area product and dust leaks, as well as maintaining a safe workplace
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience is required
- Previous supervisor experience is preferred
