General Manager

On behalf of a world-class apparel manufacturer with a global footprint, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the establishment and operations of a new production facility in Ismailia, Egypt. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for full P&L, production, quality, logistics, and team management.

Our client is a leading vertically integrated knitwear manufacturer with over 30 years of excellence. With 15,000+ employees, 14 production sites worldwide, and annual capacity exceeding 100 million pieces, they serve 100+ international brands across Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. In 2025, the group achieved sales of RMB 10.7 billion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute production plans in alignment with global sales targets, allocate orders to workshops and monitor daily operations.
• Oversee quality control, production schedules, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage government relations, handle local regulatory matters, and resolve production issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
• Lead and mentor a multicultural team, foster a positive work environment, and build talent pipelines.
• Ensure workplace safety, 6S management, and compliance with audit standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above (equivalent experience considered); 8–10+ years of production management experience in apparel manufacturing.
• Egyptian national with fluency in English and Arabic;
  Mandarin is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, able to drive results across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with experience interfacing with government agencies and international clients.
• Deep understanding of the Egyptian market, labor laws, and business environment.
• Willingness to reside in Ismailia, Egypt.
