SpiralPunch Bindery Operator – 3rd Shift
Join our Bindery team as a Spiral Punch Bindery Operator, where you’ll operate specialized punch equipment used in the production of high‑quality educational materials. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements What You’ll Do- Operate spiral punch bindery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment to meet production specifications.
- Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules.
- Perform quality inspections throughout production to ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance and daily cleaning of equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Minimize waste while meeting productivity and quality goals.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist in other bindery operations as business needs require.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn specialized bindery equipment.
- Ability to read production orders and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery.
- Previous bindery or commercial printing experience.
- Experience operating punch, binding, or finishing equipment.
- Preventative maintenance experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical or technical training.
- Sunday – Thursday
- 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM or
- 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Overtime as required
