CNC Programmer – Entry Level

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, programming, and operation of computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines.
• Operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and profile machines.
• Execute diversified machining tasks to ordinary tolerances.
• Make programming and adjustments to adhere to established specifications.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper functioning.
• Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts, and to repair existing parts and equipment.
• Apply extensive knowledge of metals and machining measurements.
• Determine dimensions and tolerances of the part to be machined, sequence of operations, and machines required by studying specifications such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts or descriptions.
• Compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions.
• Prepare and pre‑set all tools needed for machining operations.
• Rig and transport large parts and equipment by crane.
• Inspect machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain machine and work area housekeeping.
• Perform daily maintenance checks of the machine.

• Current, valid driver license.
• Prior machining experience.
• Proven ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• High attention to detail and self‑motivation skills.
