Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Description

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will supervise the Assembly Department personnel and oversee Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost results while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure safety of all personnel and address any safety concerns immediately.
• Ensure product quality and re-prioritize work if product must be placed on hold for quality department review or disposition.
• Achieve delivery and cost goals, ensuring adherence to standard work and manufacturing instructions.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts, including development of standard work, balancing operator loading, execution of time studies and implementation of 5S initiatives.
• Lead manufacturing problem-solving, investigate process failures and implement corrective actions in support of all shifts.
• Implement Lean methodologies such as point-of-use tooling, material presentation, waste elimination, and process improvements.
• Train and mentor assigned personnel on EBOS, ISO procedures, manufacturing documentation and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate time-clock reporting of assigned personnel and approve timecards.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in production areas and support weekly cycle counting of product.
• Interface with production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, and product engineers.

• Minimum 3 years of project, manufacturing or related engineering experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Established project management skills to document, plan, market and execute programs.
• Understanding of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices and in-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP planning systems.
• Excellent verbal and presentation skills suitable for interacting with production teams and various levels of management.
• Strong computer skills in MS Windows-Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
