Advanced Processing Team Member – 2nd Shift

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (Saturday OT), 2:00pm – 10:30pm.

Location:

1 Quality Place, Buckner, KY 40010. Compensation: $24.02 per hour plus shift differential; D Pay until validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and stage ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain processing machinery and equipment, including scales, mixers, grinders, and advanced processing lines.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, routine operation checks, preventive maintenance, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Conduct inspections, product checks, and quality controls throughout the production cycle.
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety compliance, follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and company policies.
  • Use SAP, IQS, MII, Weever, and hand scanners to track inventory, shipments, and quality results.
  • Operate forklift and perform palletizing, manual packing, and inventory management.
  • Assist teammates, provide support and training, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Performance Focus Safe Equipment Operation & Maintenance
  • Review production schedules, verify ingredient lot numbers, and operate equipment safely.
  • Perform maintenance activities and monitor equipment performance for safe, continuous operation.
Product Handling, Quality Control & Inventory Management
  • Ensure accurate scaling, conduct pre‑operational checks, and monitor ingredient levels.
  • Inspect labels, align products, and manage FIFO inventory.
  • Record shipments, verify weight control, and handle waste disposal.
Food Safety & Sanitation Compliance
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, maintain allergen segregation, and clean work areas.
  • Complete sanitation steps during changeovers and maintain compliance documentation.
Team Collaboration, Leadership & Training
  • Provide backup coverage, share knowledge, and support training for team members.
  • Lead projects, identify skill gaps, and drive multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
Documentation, Communication & Continuous Improvement
  • Accurately complete production paperwork and record quality results in SAP.
  • Participate in 5S efforts and act as 5S champion for the area.
  • Assist in reviewing production paperwork and develop solutions to issues.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; minimum 1 year manufacturing or food production experience.
  • Forklift certification required for Advanced Level; willingness to obtain if not held.
  • Technical skills: operate, troubleshoot, repair equipment, including high‑speed processing machinery.
  • Proficiency in SAP, IQS, MII, Weever, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, SQF, HACCP, FSMA, and safety policies.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lb, stand/walk for extended periods, and use PPE.
