Island Waste Ltd – General Operatives

We are recruiting General Operatives to join our busy teams: 1 at Pointes Lane Site and 1 at Bulwer Avenue Site.
Island Waste is part of the Guernsey Recycling Group (GRG), a leading recycling and waste management company, proudly helping local businesses and households to recycle as much as possible.
Main Responsibilities- Assisting with sorting mixed waste through the yard, either on the materials recovery facility or hand sorting areas as directed by the supervisor or manager.
- Communicating effectively with other members of staff via radio, to ensure the health and safety of everyone on site.
- Assisting in keeping the site clean and tidy.
Applicants must live in Guernsey and hold a valid right to work in Guernsey. No accommodation is provided with this role.
Benefits- 21 days annual leave increasing with length of service.

- Health Insurance upon successful completion of a probation period.
Standard hours are based on 40 hours per week, 07:00‑16:00 Monday to Friday. Some overtime may be required.
