Utility Person – Quarry Operations
Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a motivated and safety-focused Utility Person to support daily quarry operations. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance, housekeeping, production support, and general site activities that contribute to a safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities- Perform site housekeeping and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized quarry environment.
- Operate a haul truck to move materials from the pit to the plant in a safe and efficient manner to support production.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to support operational reliability.
- Support production activities by moving materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures while contributing to team goals.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow established work procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance and quarry operations tasks.
- Dependable team player with strong work ethic and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
Successful candidate must submit to a post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment:
Role operates primarily in environments where conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
$21 per hour.
