Maintenance Technician I
Maintenance Technician - Level I position is a key position in our rock crushing processing plant; includes monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the crushers, conveyors, and sizing screens.
Ensure that welding and floors for railcars are solid with solid welding skills. Understand the site, identifying issues with crushers and conveyors. Walk the site, observing crushers and conveyors for proper function. Perform clean up using manual means along with operating skid steer. Grease bearings; replace guards; change drive belts and gear boxes; replace rollers and bearings; change conveyor belts; replace skirting;
change wear liners/hammers; adjust crushers; welding, fabrication and oil changes. Assist fellow crew members with plant mode changes. Ability to stick weld, mig weld and cut metals proficiently. Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustment to material blends as required. Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs. Other responsibilities as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Education:
Ability to read and write. Additional Education Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED. Required
Work Experience:
Experience working in varying weather elements. Quarry experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with repairs typically found at a rock quarry or sand mining operation. A well rounded maintenance background, to include welding, experience changing bearings and gearboxes, working with screens and conveyors. Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions. Self-motivated, dependable, with a solid work ethic and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Demonstrable understanding of plant flow, plant operations and screening.
Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting materials plant preferred. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required. This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
