Galvanizing Laborer – Rotating Shifts

Utility Laborer

United Talent is currently seeking utility laborers for a steel galvanizing facility in Greenup, KY! Pay: $14.63/hour.

Location:

Greenup, KY

Schedule:

Rotating 12-hour swing shift schedule. Opportunity for weekly production bonuses!

Job duties:

• Unload incoming steel from delivery trucks using forklifts
• Rack steel pieces by forklift, hand, and overhead cranes
• Insert wooden spacers between beams to prepare them for dipping
• Use remote controls to operate overhead cranes and move bundles
• Operate galvanizing equipment while wearing heat-protective jumpsuits and face protectors
• Unbundle beams from cranes using clippers while wearing proper hand and eye protection
• Bundle finished beams using a bundling machine
• Move finished products using forklifts

Pay and shift:

• Full-time positions available with rotating swing shift schedules
• 4 days on, 4 days off rotation
• Group A & Group B rotate on the same schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Group C & Group D rotate on the same schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Starting pay is $14.63/hour with opportunities for weekly production bonuses

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Forklift and machinery experience preferred
• Experience unloading and loading materials preferred
• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Steel-toed boots required
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs repeatedly
• Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
