Position Overview:Precision Glass Industries is seeking an experienced Glass CNC Operator to join our architectural glass manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery used in glass fabrication while meeting production, quality, efficiency, and waste/scrap goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:- Set up and operate CNC machinery used for architectural glass fabrication.
- Meet daily production targets for assigned machinery, including efficiency, quality, and waste/scrap goals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, technical drawings, and production specifications.
- Input, adjust, and verify machine settings to ensure accurate production.
- Safely load, position, and unload glass materials on CNC equipment.
- Perform test runs and continuously monitor machine performance during production.
- Inspect finished glass products for quality, dimensions, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform daily machine inspections, basic preventive maintenance, and routine equipment checks.
- Identify and report machine malfunctions, quality concerns, and production issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC machine operation experience; glass industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Ability to accurately use precision measurement tools.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming, machine setup, and machine adjustments.
- Strong basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to safely lift, handle, and move glass and materials weighing 75+ lbs. as part of regular job duties, with cranes and other material-handling equipment available when appropriate.
- Must be able and willing to work 12-hour shifts.
- Must be physically capable of safely lifting, handling, moving, and assisting with heavy pieces of architectural glass throughout the shift, individually or with team/mechanical assistance as appropriate.
- Must be able to remain active and on your feet for extended periods during the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing, shipping, logistics, or production-floor environment, as applicable to the position.
- Must follow all required safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
