Maintenance Mechanic

• Maintain and repair a variety of plant production equipment such as CNC Turret Punch Presses, CNC Lasers, CNC Panel Benders, belt sanders, grinders, Welding machines, ovens, powder coating equipment, specialized machinery involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions.
• Install and relocate plant equipment, lay out conduit, water and air lines, pull and terminate wires, make necessary connections and balance electrical power supply.
• Diagnose the nature of a problem, disassemble equipment, replace worn or defective parts and components such as motors, bearings, shafts and belts, rebuild unit, test operation and make final adjustment.
• Monitor, maintain and service compressor and dust collection equipment.
• Maintain and repair building, inspect and service electric controls and replace defective components as necessary.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities throughout the plant as required, oil and lubricate equipment and change fluid and filters as required.
• Fabricate parts as needed for repairs as feasible.
• Perform plumbing and welding maintenance activities as required.
• Report deficiencies of replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain written record of repairs and PM's.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to use shop mathematics and a variety of precision measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, multimeter.
• Use hand power tools, machine tools, drill press, grinder, sander, gas and electric welding equipment, scissor lift, forklift and hand trucks, acetylene torch and a variety of hand tools.
• Must be able to work from verbal instructions, written instructions, sketches, blueprints, electrical , PLC, schematics, manuals and other reference materials.
• Must be a self starter, organized, team player, self motivated
• Experience with CNC fabricating equipment preferred.
