A Press Assistant will provide support to the Press Operator in obtaining quality and quantity goals, according to customer guidelines and JSM's standard operating procedures.

1st shift / 8:00am - 4:00pm

• Change press plates, blankets, or inserts as required.
• Clean ink fountains, plates, or printing unit cylinders when press runs completed.
• Clean oil presses.
• Collect/inspect random samples during print runs to identify any adjustments after each roll.
• Feed paper through press cylinder and adjust feed and tension controls.
• Load presses with paper and make necessary adjustments, according to paper size.
• Mix inks and fill ink fountains.
• Verify paper and ink meet job specifications.
• Secure printing plates to printing units and adjust tolerances.
• Estimate and deliver upon schedules and plans.
• Quality checks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Provide off-hours support.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
