Set up,adjust, and operate Machine Shop equipment such as Milling Machines, Engine Lathes, Tool-Post Grinder, Surface Grinder, and the various tools and measuring instruments required to perform precision Machining/Grinding operations. Readand interpret blueprints and engineering instructions. Performs and verifyvisual and dimensional inspection using manufacturer, company or customersupplied drawings and Manuals.
- Set up and operate various
Machining & Grinding equipment. - Read and interpret blueprint sand Manuals.
- Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.
- Ensure all work is performedIAW posted work scopes and safety implementations .
- Proper use and knowledge of Machine Shop tools and measuring equipment.
- Personal Toolbox with basic
Machinist tools. - Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, have basic computer skills.
- Available to work dailyovertime and Saturdays
- Machinist trade school certification.
- MRO experience working at aPart 145 repair station.
- Experience with Rolls RoyceT
56/501 engines and/or similar engines. - Technical Proficiency :
Strong understanding of Machiningprinciples, techniques, and equipment. - Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy in identifying defect sand ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Communication : Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings, documenting procedures, and collaborating withother departments.
- Problem-Solving :
Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve inspection-related issues. - Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively withengineers, mechanics, and other inspection personnel.
- Mustbe able to stand and move around inspection stations, aircraft structures, and component areas for extended periods.
- Mustbe able to safely lift and manipulate aviation parts and tooling up to 25pounds frequently while using appropriate lifting techniques or mechanical aidsin compliance with OSHA and FAA safety standards.
- Abilityto bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to inspect parts at varying height sand orientations.
- Mustbe able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods while maintaining high accuracy and focus.
- Mustbe able to work in a repair shop environment.
