Night Shift | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Position Type: Full-Time / Contract
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate (based on experience)
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our production team. This role is ideal for a seasoned machinist who possesses specific, hands-on experience setting up and operating legacy machinery and thrives in a traditional shop floor environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation: Set up, calibrate, and safely operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts according to strict engineering specifications.
Legacy Equipment Operations: Efficiently manage daily operations, tooling changes, and adjustments on older-generation production machinery.
Quality & Inspection: Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to verify strict adherence to design blueprints, schematics, and tight manufacturing tolerances.
Safety & Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance, monitor fluid/coolant levels, and maintain a clean, organized, and risk-free workstation in accordance with shop safety protocols.
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Experience &
Skills:
Experience: 1-4+ years of hands-on field experience as a CNC Machinist.
Legacy Equipment Expertise: Proven experience specifically setting up and operating older-generation machinery (e.g., legacy Mazak controls/machines).
Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and geometric tolerances.
Precision Measuring: Proficient in using standard precision inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Preferred Experience (Bonus Points!):
Hands-on experience operating or G-code programming Mazak machinery and controls.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Vocational/Technical certification in Machining Tech is a plus).
