Our client, a world leader in semiconductors, is looking for an Associate Test Engineer I - Optical/Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical based in Milpitas, CA.
Job Duration:
Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $34/hr on W2 Hours working 5-10 hour days plus weekend.

Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Responsibilities- Responsible for performing the set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of optical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
- May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing.
- May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
- ASEET, BSEET or BSEE and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience is required.
- Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
- Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.
- Ability to read complicated drawings and utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
