Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Project Planner/Coordinator is responsible for scheduling manufacturing projects from engineering through to shipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to provide delivery dates for sales quotations.
  • Creates schedules for multi-module projects which enables engineering, procurement, assembly, test, and shipping teams to effectively execute projects.
  • Continuously monitors projects to identify and address issues that may affect the schedule.
  • Reports on projects status/risk, schedule, issues, and plan versus actual costs.
  • Acts as a liaison within operations to enable the effective flow of information and materials.
  • Improves and maintains standard build plans by working with assembly teams, engineering, manufacturing engineering and sales.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

An associate degree in a technical or business-related discipline is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Two – four years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to prioritize effectively. Demonstrated communication, organization, and planning skills. Proven problem-solving skills. Knowledge of XA and MRP or an equivalent ERP system is required.

This position does not directly supervise other associates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards Travel by air or car occasionally
