About The Role:Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and talented technician to join our Batteries Test Lab team.
In this role, this person will execute and support testing of implantable medical device batteries often involving specialized equipment in a laboratory environment during the design, development, and production life cycles of medical devices batteries.
The work performed in this role will have a direct and meaningful impact on the quality and reliability of BSC products, ultimately enhancing the lives of patients worldwide. This individual will play a key role in characterizing and evaluating the performance of implantable medical device batteries. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Your Responsibilities will include:- Utilizing battery test equipment and ovens to execute battery characterization and evaluation testing.
- Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.
- Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems, and products.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoots evaluations results, test setup, and test equipment to resolve errors in test data.
- Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports.
- Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions.
- Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
- Software development or troubleshooting/debugging experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent task management and problem-solving skills for working in a fast-paced lab environment on multiple time sensitive projects
- Equipment control within medical device quality system
- Experience with Maccor or other battery test systems and procedures
- Experience in battery testing, electronics testing, or a related technical field

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
