CNC Operator

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operatingCNClathes to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints and specifications. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability tomaintainaccuracy and consistency throughout the machining process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Okuma CNClathes to machine parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings,and work orders todeterminemachining instructions.
• Select, install, and align proper tooling and fixtures.
• Measure and inspect finished work pieces using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Make necessary adjustments tomaintainquality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines andmaintaina safe working environment.
• Communicate any issues or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experienceoperatinga manual lathe preferred.
• Strong understanding of machining principles,feeds, speeds, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods andlift upto 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationrequiredfor precise machining work.
• Tolerance for moderate noise and shop environment conditions.

High School or better.

Experience with Okuma CNC Lathes and live Tooling
