Location: Northern
Electronic Manufacturing Technician (Concord, CA) – $25/hr Full Time
Established small business in Concord, CA seeking a reliable, detail-oriented person for a full-time electronic manufacturing position. We manufacture specialized wildlife GPS tracking devices and adult novelty products. This is a hands-on technical role that involves working on very small and intricate electronic devices.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in precision, and communicates professionally.
Responsibilities- Perform precise electronic assembly tasks including soldering and supergluing very small devices
- Program and install firmware onto PCBs using in-house computer software
- Assemble and disassemble animal collars and tracking devices using a variety of tools such as hot air guns, wire cutters, pliers, adhesives, and solvents
- Assist with organizational and decluttering tasks including sorting through bins of excess materials, rearranging shelf storage systems, and disposing of nonfunctional or unnecessary supplies
- Occasionally work with hazardous materials while wearing appropriate PPE including a respirator mask, gloves, goggles, and apron
- Creatively problem-solve for unexpected issues that may come up during custom projects
- Test GPS devices and interpret results to confirm functionality
- Perform final checks and inspections on products ready to be shipped and correct any remaining issues or defects
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail, with comfort manipulating very small components
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools with minimal oversight
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in finding tasks to complete
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in accordance with company standards with a high level of accuracy
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive workplace relationships in a very small company environment
- Strong personal responsibility and work ethic
- Growth mindset and a commitment to continued learning and growth as new job duties may be assigned as needed
- Full-time, on-site position in Concord, CA
- Starting pay: $25/hour
